Trump Says China and Russia Are Not Backing Iran

US President Donald Trump said on Friday he did not believe China or Russia were participating in the ongoing conflict with Iran, but warned that if either country became involved, it would have serious consequences.

Trump wrote on Truth Social that Chinese President Xi Jinping had promised during their recent meeting in Beijing that China would neither supply nor sell weapons to Iran under any circumstances. According to Trump, the commitment also applies to Chinese companies.

The US president also said it would not be in Beijing's or Moscow's strategic interest to supply weapons to Tehran. Neither the Kremlin nor China's authorities immediately commented on his remarks.
