US and Ukraine Advance Joint Drone Production
Ukraine and the United States plan to expand their cooperation in drone production. In an interview with American blogger Laura Loomer, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the agreement currently being negotiated will include the construction of a drone factory in the US that will utilize Ukrainian technology.
According to Zelensky, this is a partnership that benefits both countries. Ukraine wants to follow up on the preliminary agreement with Washington as quickly as possible.
He stressed that Ukrainian drones are already capable of striking targets more than 3,000 km away and that their capabilities are constantly improving.
Reuters had previously reported that Kyiv had agreed to export drones to the US as part of the Pentagon's Drone Dominance program. Six Ukrainian companies have received export licenses for approximately 100 drones each.
The details of the agreement are still being finalized ahead of Zelensky's planned meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington on Tuesday. Ukrainian media reported that the two countries have already signed a memorandum of understanding that lays the groundwork for joint drone production.
