Iran Using Migrant Boats to Smuggle Agents into UK

According to The Telegraph, British authorities intercepted individuals suspected of having ties to Iranian intelligence services as they attempted to enter the country in small boats across the English Channel.

The information comes from smugglers and Iranian officials, who claim that some smuggling routes are controlled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its Unit 700, the logistics arm of the Quds Force. According to the newspaper, these groups are linked to the financing of terrorist organizations, including Hamas and Hezbollah.

The British Home Office uses drones and surveillance towers equipped with artificial intelligence to identify suspects.

However, authorities acknowledge that the radicalization of the Iranian diaspora and the activities of proxy groups pose a greater security risk, noting that the number of IRGC-linked individuals arriving on legal flights from Europe is significantly higher.

According to the newspaper, an Iranian official threatened that Tehran has people in London who could make the city unsafe.
