Soyuz Capsule with Russians, American Lands in Kazakhstan

The Russian spacecraft Soyuz MS-28, carrying two Russian cosmonauts and one astronaut from the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), returned safely to Earth on Sunday. The Russian space agency Roscosmos announced the landing.

On board were Russian cosmonauts Sergei Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikayev, as well as NASA astronaut Christopher Williams.

The landing module touched down at 1:27 p.m. Moscow time (10:27 a.m. GMT) near the Kazakh city of Zhezkazgan. Russian spacecraft regularly land in this area upon returning from orbit.

Roscosmos reported no technical problems during the return or landing. After landing, the crew was taken over by rescue teams, who arranged for their transport to medical examinations and other post-mission procedures.
