Russian Strikes on Ukraine Kill at Least Six

Kyiv came under ballistic missile attack from Russian forces early on Sunday, while bombardments elsewhere in Ukraine killed at least six people.

Moscow, meanwhile, said a Ukrainian drone strike killed four people in the Russian-occupied city of Horlivka. Two more people were killed and 17 injured in Ukrainian air attacks on the southern Russian cities of Rostov-on-Don and Belgorod, regional authorities said on Monday.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia fired seven ballistic missiles and deployed 136 drones overnight.

In Chernihiv, a Russian drone struck a supermarket, killing two people, including a nine-year-old child, and injuring 25. President Volodymyr Zelensky called the attack “deliberate Russian terror that has no military justification”.

In Kharkiv, one person was killed in a drone attack and 16 others required medical treatment. In Zaporizhzhia, a glide bomb strike killed one person and injured six.

In Kyiv, a fire broke out in a multi-story apartment building following the overnight missile attack. Three people were injured.

In Sloviansk, two Naftogaz employees were killed in a Russian attack while helping residents affected by an earlier strike.
