Tate Brothers Seek Bail as UK Extradition Case Proceeds

Andrew and Tristan Tate plan to seek release on bail while US courts consider Britain’s request for their extradition.

The brothers have been held in a federal jail in Miami since 18 July and face charges of rape, assault and facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.

Their lawyers argue that they do not pose a flight risk, noting that they previously attended required court hearings in Romania, where they have been under investigation since 2022 over human trafficking allegations. They are due to file a motion for release on bail by 5 August, with a hearing scheduled for 13 August.

British authorities have until 16 September to submit a full extradition request. If a judge finds sufficient evidence to establish probable cause, the final decision on extradition will rest with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The brothers deny any wrongdoing.
