EU to Discuss Situation in Ceuta, Spain, on Tuesday

The European Union will hold an extraordinary ministerial meeting via videoconference on Tuesday to discuss the mass crossings of migrants into the Spanish North African exclave of Ceuta.

Ireland, which currently holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union, announced on Saturday that it had convened a meeting of the EU Council for Justice and Home Affairs. The meeting will be chaired by Irish Minister of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration Jim O'Callaghan.
