Armed Man Arrested Near Trump Fundraiser Venue

US authorities arrested an armed 38-year-old man at Trump National Golf Club in California just days before a fundraiser attended by President Donald Trump, Politico reported.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, plainclothes federal agents saw the man photographing and filming security preparations. Deputies found a 16-round magazine in his pocket, while a search of his car uncovered a loaded pistol and another loaded magazine.

A subsequent search of his home found additional firearms, ammunition, body armor, notebooks containing what investigators called “concerning statements” and two radio signal devices.

The case was referred to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Authorities said they had identified no credible ongoing threat to the community.
