Zelensky, Rutte Discuss More Air Defense Interceptors

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that he had spoken with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte about securing more air defense interceptors.

Zelensky said he and Rutte had coordinated efforts with countries that possess the necessary interceptors and the capability to help. He added that bureaucratic obstacles must be removed and the necessary political decisions taken to speed up deliveries.

Following the call, Rutte said he was discussing with NATO allies how to continue providing Ukraine with the air defenses it urgently needs.
