A Man Is Living in a Billboard for a Netflix Film
To promote the new sci-fi thriller The Last House, Netflix placed a man inside a billboard in Los Angeles, 9 m above Sunset Boulevard. From Thursday through Saturday, he is living in a fully furnished and air-conditioned living room, with the caption "How long can you survive?" displayed below the window, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Passersby could see him in a bathrobe, communicating with them via a whiteboard. Up high, he passes the time by reading books, playing solitaire or observing his surroundings through binoculars.
The film, directed by Louis Leterrier, follows a couple with two children who find themselves trapped in their own home, fighting for survival against a mysterious external threat as their resources run out. The director stated that he was intrigued by the idea of waking up in a hostile environment without any explanation. According to Leterrier, the film challenges the notion of a safe haven and reveals the fragility of an ordinary family's security.
