Russia Offers Loan Relief After Drone Strikes

Russia's central bank on Monday urged lenders to restructure loans for businesses affected by Ukrainian drone strikes on logistics centers, warehouses, and other commercial facilities.

According to the central bank, at least 20 warehouses operated by the Russian online retailer Wildberries have been attacked since July 18.

The regulator said small and medium-sized enterprises affected by attacks on logistics centers, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, retail outlets, offices and other premises should be able to apply for loan restructuring.

Sberbank, VTB, and Wildberries Bank have all announced programs to support affected businesses.

According to Sergei Melamed, a senior Sberbank executive, the bank has already received around 2,000 requests for loan restructuring from businesses affected by the attacks.
