Russia Vows Tougher Action Over Western Support for Kyiv

Russia plans to step up action against what it describes as Western-backed support for Ukraine's war effort, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview broadcast on state television.

Lavrov said Moscow would significantly intensify its efforts to "dismantle" everything that supports Ukraine's military capabilities. He did not specify which targets or measures he was referring to, but said Russia was already pursuing that approach.

The foreign minister also ruled out an immediate ceasefire without a broader political settlement. According to Lavrov, Moscow is prepared to end the war only if a long-term, reliable, and sustainable agreement is reached.

His remarks suggest that the Kremlin remains opposed to an unconditional ceasefire while signalling a more confrontational approach toward Western support for Ukraine.
