Klitschko: Russian Attack on Kyiv Sparks Fires, Injures One

Early Sunday morning, Russian forces launched a missile attack on Kyiv, sparking fires in at least two districts of the Ukrainian capital, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. The city's military administration reported that one person was injured.

In a message posted on Telegram, Klitschko said falling debris caused a fire in a non-residential area of the northern suburbs, where several cars caught fire. Another fire broke out in an area south of the city center, he added.

Reuters witnesses reported hearing explosions in the city. Russia has carried out intense airstrikes on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities in recent weeks.
