Fedorov Joins Italy Defense Ministry as Adviser
Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has accepted a role as innovation adviser at Italy’s Defense Ministry.
Defense Minister Guido Crosetto offered Fedorov the position shortly after his dismissal in July, praising him as a driving force behind military innovation who helped Ukraine regain the initiative in its war against Russia.
The 35-year-old Fedorov was dismissed six months after his appointment, having initiated reforms to military procurement and mobilization that put him on a collision course with the military establishment and political rivals.
Fedorov thanked Crosetto for his personal support and the offer to serve as his adviser. He said he would help Italy adopt modern warfare technologies, strengthen its defense sector and adapt to emerging global security challenges.
