Kremlin Labels European Union Hostile
The Kremlin currently sees no room for improvement in relations between Russia and the European Union. Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated on Saturday that European officials’ remarks indicate they view Moscow as an adversary or even an enemy.
Peskov did not specify which particular statements he was referring to. However, he described current European Union politicians as confrontational toward Russia – not only in their words, but also in their actions.
“They are mobilising Europe's military capabilities and directing them against our country, whilst taking a direct part in hostilities against us”, the Kremlin spokesman said.
According to him, Moscow therefore currently sees no prospect of improved bilateral relations.
