Trump Envoys Plan Ukraine Visit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a call with US President Donald Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to discuss ongoing peace efforts. He described the conversation as detailed and constructive, saying that dialogue between the US and Ukrainian negotiating teams was continuing.

The two sides are now working to set a date for Trump’s envoys to visit Ukraine, a step aimed at advancing negotiations.

The discussion also covered the situation on the front lines and Russian attacks. Zelensky said Russia’s territorial gains were minimal and that Moscow was paying for them with enormous losses.

September could bring significant changes, he added. However, Kyiv and its partners must continue doing everything possible to protect the population, he said.

The Ukrainian and American teams will remain in close contact as they prepare for further negotiations. Zelensky also thanked Trump and his envoys for their efforts.
