Bank of America Executive Killed in Times Square
Erin Piacenti, 32, died after an attack in one of New York City’s busiest areas. The assailant also injured a 68-year-old man, who remains in the hospital in stable condition.
The incident occurred on Monday at approximately 4:24 p.m. local time. According to Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros pulled two knives from a shopping bag. She first stabbed the man and then attacked Piacenti.
When police arrived, she refused to drop her weapons and threatened to kill them. Officers used a stun gun on her and then fatally shot her.
Piacenti graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2021 alongside her husband, Frank. She served as vice president of the business cases and conflicts resolution department at the bank.
Bank of America expressed shock and deep sorrow over the death of their colleague. They described her as a valued team member who will be greatly missed.
