Tusk: Fire at Polish Arms Factory Was Sabotage

A fire at the WB Electronics plant in Skarzysko-Kamienna, which manufactures unmanned systems, was set intentionally, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed on Wednesday before a cabinet meeting, the Polish Press Agency (PAP) reported.

The prime minister described the incident as a continuation of Russia's escalating activities in the region. According to him, this is not the first such incident, and others may follow. He considers the coming weeks and months decisive not only for developments on the front lines but also for countries in this part of Europe, which will face attempts to heighten tensions and destabilize the region.

The fire broke out at the plant shortly after midnight on Monday. In the case of Sunday's fire at the JFG Composites plant in Lublin, there is currently no evidence of arson. However, given the nature of the plant's production, Tusk did not rule out the possibility that the incident had the same cause.

The Lublin-based company manufactures components for the aerospace and automotive industries. The damage amounted to approximately €5m ($5.8m). The local district prosecutor's office launched an investigation on Tuesday.
