Russia Says It Hit Arms Shipments in Black Sea

Russian forces struck two cargo ships in the Black Sea on Thursday, according to the country's Defense Ministry. Moscow said the vessels had been carrying weapons, ammunition and military equipment to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian state-owned oil and gas company Naftogaz reported that Russia had attacked Ukrnafta production sites. The strike caused significant damage to equipment, the company claimed, without disclosing the location.

A Ukrainian drone struck a bus in Russian-controlled Horlivka in the Donetsk region, killing one civilian and injuring five others, Interfax reported, citing the city’s Russian-installed mayor, Ivan Prikhodko.

Prikhodko described the incident as a targeted drone attack. Reuters could not independently verify the assertion. Russia and Ukraine both deny targeting civilians.
