Israel Strikes Southern Lebanon After Hezbollah Drone Attack

The Israeli military said early Sunday that it was striking targets in southern Lebanon after Hezbollah launched two drones at Israeli soldiers stationed in an area Israel has declared a security zone. It added that it had shot down one of the drones and that no soldiers were injured.

Before the strikes, the Israel Defense Forces issued an evacuation warning for the area around a building in the town of Arab Salim, in southern Lebanon, saying it would target the building because Hezbollah was using it.

The Iranian-backed movement did not immediately comment on the incident.
