Tate Brothers Denied Bail in Miami

Andrew and Tristan Tate remain in a Miami jail after a US judge denied their request for release on bail. The brothers are contesting extradition to Britain, where they are wanted on charges of rape, assault and facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.

US Magistrate Judge Lauren Louis described the brothers as “quintessential flight risks”, citing their wealth and frequent international travel.

Their lawyers argued that the brothers’ high public profile would make fleeing impractical and described their displays of wealth on social media as theatrical and grandiose.

Louis also concluded that the nature of the allegations indicated the brothers posed a danger to the public. The Tates, who hold both US and British citizenship, deny any wrongdoing.

Both brothers also face legal proceedings in Romania. Andrew Tate was recently indicted on charges of trafficking minors, money laundering, sex with a minor and witness tampering, while Tristan Tate was indicted for complicity. They reject the allegations.
