Zelensky Ready to Meet Putin at G20 Summit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to meet with Vladimir Putin in person if both receive invitations to the December G20 summit in Miami. He said it is not about mere words or a symbolic gesture but about the outcome of the negotiations, according to The Epoch Times.

"We need to meet, talk to each other, and make decisions", Zelensky said.

Putin and Zelensky have not met in person since the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. US President Donald Trump had previously suggested that Russia's participation in the summit could be beneficial.

Zelensky also spoke positively about Washington's recent initiative, in which US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner held talks in both Moscow and Kyiv.

The Ukrainian president said his country is now in a significantly stronger negotiating position. Kyiv also continues to request additional Patriot air defense systems ahead of the coming winter.
