Kremlin Undecided on Putin's G20 Attendance

The Kremlin does not yet know whether Vladimir Putin will attend the G20 summit in Miami this December. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said no decision has been made yet. Foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov made a similar statement, noting that the possibility of Putin's trip has not yet been discussed in detail.

The question of the Russian president's participation first arose in April, when Donald Trump mentioned Putin's presence at the summit could be very useful. At that time, the Kremlin did not rule out the possibility that the Russian leader would travel to the United States.

Peskov also responded to a statement by Volodymyr Zelensky, who is prepared to come to Miami and meet with Putin if the Russian president also attends the summit.

However, Moscow reiterated its previous position: according to the Kremlin, if Zelensky wants to negotiate with Putin in person, he should travel to Moscow.
