Zelensky Seeks Details on Energy Truce

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded cautiously to Donald Trump’s claim that Russia and Ukraine had agreed not to attack each other’s energy targets.

Zelensky said Kyiv was prepared to halt strikes on Russia if its partners ensured that Moscow refrained from targeting Ukrainian energy facilities, infrastructure and food supply routes.

Ukraine, however, is not convinced that Russia is willing to abide by such an agreement. Zelensky said Kyiv expected its partners to provide specifics on how the arrangement would work.

He described an agreement to protect critical infrastructure as a potential first step toward de-escalation and peace.
