Orban Urges National Resistance Against Magyar

Former Hungarian Prime Minister and Fidesz leader Viktor Orban declared at a party event in the village of Kotcse that the time for national resistance had come. According to a recording posted on YouTube, he said Fidesz had run out of patience with one-sided gestures and was becoming the leading force in resistance against the current government.

According to MTI, Hungary's state news agency, Orban called for the creation of a united patriotic front, a common language and mutual loyalty among the right, while also expressing support for anyone who stands up against autocracy.

The former prime minister predicted an economic collapse in Hungary, accompanied by the bankruptcies of local governments, farmers and small businesses. He accused the current government of Prime Minister Peter Magyar of destroying long-standing economic progress and turning the country into a colony of Brussels. He also criticized the new cabinet's style of governance.

In conclusion, Orban acknowledged some of his own party's failures. He said Fidesz had failed to convince voters of the importance of security, paying the price for an ineffective campaign and a weak online presence.
