Iran Says Strait of Hormuz Will Remain Closed

Iran will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz until its conditions are met and the US fulfills its commitments, parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf emphasized on Sunday, according to the semi-official Fars News Agency.

Iran must both fight and negotiate, Qalibaf said, adding that Tehran will use military force to repel its enemies and diplomacy to consolidate its military gains when the time is right.
