Iran Claims US Is Planning New Attack

Iran has warned the United States and its allies against another large-scale attack, claiming to have information about preparations for such an operation. The Iranian military command said any new strike would trigger sustained retaliation against US bases and interests in the region.

Tehran would also treat countries that support Washington as part of the conflict. However, Iran has not released any specific evidence of the alleged attack plans.

Tensions are also rising after attacks on Saudi Arabia by Yemen's Houthis. The Iran-backed group claims to have struck targets in Riyadh and an oil facility in the port of Yanbu.

The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted a missile headed for the capital. The conflict between the US and Iran has lasted nearly seven months and is significantly disrupting oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran continues to demand that the terms of the June agreement be fulfilled before the strait is fully reopened.
