Charlie Kirk's wife gave her first public speech on Friday since the tragic event in which her husband was murdered during an event at Utah Valley University. The recording was broadcast by several media outlets, including Fox News.
Her words were filled with pain, but also with unwavering willpower and determination to carry on his legacy, which was an inspiration to her. They fought together for the values they believed in.
She stood in front of the empty chair where Charlie had recorded his podcast and began her speech with a silent prayer, thanking everyone who had tried to save her husband's life, as well as President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vanca, and many others for their support.
She emphasized that her husband's mission and voice would not disappear, but on the contrary, would be spread more strongly than ever. “The movement my husband built will not die,” she said. “His name will never disappear from people's minds, I will make sure of that. His voice will echo clearer and louder, and his wisdom will live on.”
She also addressed those responsible for his death with a clear message: “You have no idea what you have done. If you thought my husband's mission was strong before, you don't know what fire you have ignited across the country and beyond.”
She reminded them that Charlie was killed because he spread the message of patriotism, faith, and God's merciful love.
Despite the tragedy, Turning Point USA, of which he was the main face, plans to continue its work—with a fall tour of universities, the organization of a large conference called America Fest, and the production of podcasts. Kirk promised to strengthen and spread the legacy of her husband, who had become a symbol of the fight for traditional values for many.
She also mentioned family life, in which Charlie was a strong and loving father and husband. “Every day he asked me how he could be a better father and husband,” she said with a smile and tears in her eyes.
She mentioned her two young children, who are now facing the loss of their father, and added emotionally how difficult it was to explain this tragedy to them. “I told them that their father is now on a business trip with Jesus himself,” she added, full of hope and faith.
The former Miss Arizona, athlete, and founder of a Christian charity is now taking the helm. She will carry on the legacy that she believes her husband built throughout his life.
This tragedy leaves deep pain in the hearts of many people, while at the same time showing the strength and determination of a woman who wants to stand firm for the values that meant everything to him. Her words express her grief, but also her unshakeable belief that this is not the end, but the beginning of a new chapter.
Erika Kirk promised that the founder of Turning Point USA would live on forever in the hearts of the young people he inspired, and that his voice would be heard even louder than before.
Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk.
