Trump administration considers action against NGOs following Kirk's assassination

Following Kirk's murder, the Trump administration is considering taking action against non-profit organizations.

According to US Vice President J.D. Vance, honoring Charlie Kirk's memory means openly fighting against left-wing groups, which he believes undermine national unity.

Stephen Miller, deputy chief of staff at the White House, also appeared on “The Charlie Kirk Show” with him. He said he sees Kirk's final legacy as a call for a coordinated offensive against “networks of non-profit organizations” accused of inciting violence or doxxing.

“God is my witness that we will use every means at our disposal to identify, disrupt, and destroy these networks—in Charlie's name,” Miller said, adding that the government would examine the criminal liability of organizations that he believes support unrest. However, he did not provide any concrete evidence.

Vance, who hosted the podcast “The Charlie Kirk Show,” went even further and named two institutions: the Open Society Foundations, funded by billionaire and Democratic donor George Soros, and the Ford Foundation. He accused these philanthropic organizations of funding an article in The Nation magazine.
Both groups stated that they do not currently support The Nation.
