Unknown drones flew over hospitals and power plants in Germany

Unknown drones flew over several strategic locations in northern Germany – from hospitals and power plants to government buildings and a refinery.

The incidents, which occurred on the night of September 25, raised suspicions that these were coordinated reconnaissance flights intended to map sensitive infrastructure. According to Ukrajinska Pravda, the drones moved in parallel, as if collecting precise data on the layout of the objects.

However, the cases were not limited to one federal state. Further sightings also concern military bases in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Rostock.

The incidents are currently under investigation, and there is talk of possible espionage. Berlin is considering allowing the shooting down of suspicious drones if a threat to national security is confirmed.
