North Korea strengthens its armament, Kim warns of response to the US

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un announced that Pyongyang had deployed “strategic assets” in response to the growing US military presence on the Korean peninsula. At a military exhibition marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the ruling Korean Workers' Party, he said that the more the United States strengthens its forces in the region, the greater the strategic importance North Korea attaches to it.

According to him, the country is preparing further military measures to strengthen its ability to respond to threats, without giving any details.

Kim also warned that “enemies” should fear the development of the security situation. According to South Korean officials, Pyongyang is deepening military cooperation with Russia and supporting its war in Ukraine by supplying soldiers and artillery.

In addition to Moscow, it is also strengthening its relations with China. Kim recently attended a military parade in Beijing alongside Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
