Zelenskyy awaits confirmation of the delivery of air defense systems by the US

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that he expects a clear statement on the ten air defense systems that the United States has promised to provide to Ukraine. He emphasized that there are currently 203 energy facilities in the country that need to be protected from attacks.

Zelensky stated that Russia had deliberately waited for unfavorable weather conditions in order to carry out an attack on the Ukrainian power grid. In his opinion, the weather reduced the effectiveness of Ukraine's air defenses by 20 to 30 percent. He added that the Russians had launched a new offensive near Dobropilla in the Donetsk region.

The president also expressed hope that a meeting of the coalition of willing countries would take place this month. He appealed to allies, especially the United Kingdom, to join the PURL weapons program, which supports Ukraine with the weapons it needs for its defense.
