Trump and Zelenskyy discussed Ukraine's defense and the agreement in the Middle East

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump on Saturday, which he described as “very positive and productive,” as he announced on social media.

He thanked him for successfully brokering an agreement in the Middle East and expressed his conviction that if war can be ended in one region, it can also be ended in Ukraine.

Zelensky informed Trump about Russia's ongoing attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure and praised his willingness to help.

Together, they discussed ways to strengthen Ukraine's air defense and specific agreements being prepared in this area.

Zelensky emphasized that a strong defense is an indispensable prerequisite for a genuine diplomatic solution to the conflict. According to Zelensky, Trump expressed his support and offered “concrete and reasonable proposals” for effectively strengthening Ukraine.
