Ukraine is working with NATO to introduce new technologies to combat Shahed drones and guided KAB bombs, reports the Jevropejska Pravda portal.

As part of the joint JATEC initiative, innovative defense systems have been developed that use drone swarms and artificial intelligence. The technology, which has also been tested under real conditions in Ukraine, has proven particularly effective against Iranian drones.

Final tests in France will determine its effectiveness against glide bombs.

More than 40 companies participated in the NATO tender, three of which made it to the final round with the best solutions. Ukrainian experts evaluated the proposals directly based on their combat experience.

If the technology proves itself, Ukraine plans to incorporate it into its equipment with the help of coalition funding. Progress in defending against fiber optic-controlled drones is still lagging behind, but development is continuing.

Some European countries have already shown interest in these systems, as the EU is preparing its own drone defense system.
