Vucic hinted at selling ammunition to the EU. Moscow fears it will end up in Ukraine

The Russian Foreign Ministry has called on Serbia to clarify statements made by President Aleksandar Vucic about the possible sale of munitions to the European Union.

Indeed, in an interview with the German magazine Cicero, Vucic admitted that Serbia was willing to sell ammunition even at the price that it might reach Ukraine. This stance has caused concern in Moscow, as Russia has so far considered Serbia a neutral partner.

Russian diplomatic spokeswoman Maria Zakharova recalled that Belgrade had repeatedly promised that Serbian munitions would not fall into Ukrainian hands.

Vucic's words have thus raised doubts about the credibility of Serbia's position on the war in Ukraine.
