Germany sends Ukraine €60 million for energy

Germany will provide Ukraine with €60 million in winter energy aid. The funds are intended to help strengthen heating systems, especially in areas near the front line, according to the Jevropejska pravda portal.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha expressed his gratitude for the unwavering solidarity and stressed that the goal is to ensure warmth for residents during repeated Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.

In response to these attacks, Kyiv is preparing to convene a so-called energy "Ramstein" to speed up the delivery of technical assistance from partners.

President Volodymyr Zelensky expects concrete and rapid support, with the Czech Republic already signaling its willingness to contribute. At the same time, Ukraine has declared a state of emergency in the energy sector and plans to establish a permanent coordination center in Kyiv.
