Airlines change flights due to growing tensions around Iran

Tensions between the United States and Iran are forcing several airlines to make significant changes to their operations.

Following statements by US President Donald Trump about moving American troops toward Iran and sharp warnings from Tehran that any attack will be considered "total war," several airlines are canceling or rerouting flights in the Middle East.

KLM is temporarily avoiding the airspace of Iran, Iraq, Israel, and some Persian Gulf countries. Air France has resumed flights to Dubai but continues to monitor the situation closely.

Lufthansa has canceled some flights and is avoiding Iran and Iraq, as are Finnair and Wizz Air, which are changing routes and making stopovers. British Airways has temporarily suspended flights to Bahrain.
