Zelensky: Russia is not attacking energy infrastructure, shifting pressure to railways
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia has not launched any new targeted missile or drone attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure in the last 24 hours. According to him, this is related to the short-term energy truce that Moscow promised last week at the request of US President Donald Trump.
At the same time, however, he warned that the truce has significant limitations—facilities in areas near the front line continue to be shelled, and according to Kyiv, Russian forces are focusing primarily on transport logistics, especially railways.
Zelensky added that repair teams have managed to restore damaged power lines, but the system is only functioning stably thanks to the continuous work of technicians.
He said that extremely cold weather and the aftermath of previous attacks still pose a serious risk.
Kyiv and Moscow are preparing for talks in Abu Dhabi this week on ways to end the war.
