Zelensky: Agreement with the US on security guarantees is complete
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that he considers achieving a dignified and lasting peace to be a realistic goal. His statement comes ahead of another round of peace talks, which are to take place this week in Abu Dhabi with the participation of representatives from Ukraine, Russia, and the United States.
After consulting with his negotiating team, Zelensky said that the Ukrainian delegation will also hold separate bilateral meetings with US officials during the two-day talks. These should focus not only on security issues but also on other strategic topics.
According to the president, Kyiv considers the document on bilateral security guarantees with the United States to be complete. At the same time, however, he acknowledged that further negotiations will concern materials focused on the country's reconstruction and economic development after the end of the war.
According to him, the upcoming meetings in Abu Dhabi should lay the foundation for long-term stability and post-war reconstruction in Ukraine.
