Epstein wrote about sophisticated corruption in Ukraine

The latest documents released by the US Department of Justice on the Jeffrey Epstein case have caused a worldwide stir. They consist of approximately three million pages of material, including thousands of internal reports, more than 2,000 videos, and 180,000 images.

In addition to details from court proceedings, they also reveal Epstein's extensive contacts with political and economic elites. His keen interest in Ukraine, which emerged shortly after the events on Maidan in 2014, attracted particular attention, reports the Berliner Zeitung.

In emails, Epstein talks about the "many opportunities" that the revolution was supposed to bring, and later takes a keen interest in Ukrainian politics and the rise of Volodymyr Zelensky. He described Ukrainian politics as a comedy and sophisticated corruption in which huge sums of money are made.

The correspondence also mentions the names of influential figures, including representatives of financial circles and former US Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers.
