French teacher stabbed in class by 14-year-old student, fighting for her life

A teacher at a French school in Sanary-sur-Mer in the south of the country was stabbed by a student on Tuesday. French Education Minister Édouard Geffray reported this on social media, adding that he was heading to the scene of the incident immediately.

BFM TV, citing the prefect of the Var department, reported that a 14-year-old student stabbed the 60-year-old teacher in her classroom. According to authorities, the woman's life is in danger. The attacker was detained after the incident.
