Kyiv: Russia has lost Starlink, halting attacks in some areas
Ukraine claims that the Starlink satellite internet terminals used by Russian forces on the battlefield have been deactivated, which, according to Kyiv, has seriously disrupted Russian offensive operations.
Ukrainian officials say Moscow deployed thousands of terminals to secure communications between troops and control drones, describing their disconnection as a major turning point.
Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said that only terminals included on the "white list" designated for Ukraine are still functioning, while Russian devices have been blocked. However, he said the verification process is still ongoing.
Ministry adviser Serhiy Beskrestnov described the situation on the Russian side as a "catastrophe" with the collapse of command and the cessation of attacks in many areas.
Reuters has not yet been able to independently verify the information, and SpaceX has not commented on the matter. However, Elon Musk has indicated that measures against Russia's unauthorized use of Starlink have likely been effective.
