German carmaker recalls cars due to faulty starter motor

BMW North America is recalling more than 87,000 vehicles in the United States. The reason is that the engine starter is at risk of overheating, which could cause a fire. This was reported by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The agency has assured car owners that dealers will replace the problematic engine starter free of charge.
