Zelensky imposes sanctions on suppliers of parts for Russian missiles

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the introduction of new sanctions targeting foreign companies that supply key components for Russian drones and missiles. According to him, Russia would not be able to produce these weapons without foreign components, which it continues to obtain by circumventing existing sanctions.

Zelensky emphasized that the new measures target not only component suppliers but also the manufacturers of missile and unmanned systems themselves. He announced the decision on social media, stating that he had already officially signed the relevant sanctions mechanisms.

With this step, Ukraine is seeking to limit Russia's ability to continue its attacks and increase pressure on foreign companies that, according to Kyiv, are involved in maintaining Russian military production.

The sanctions are part of Kiev's broader strategy of repeatedly calling on its partners to tighten controls on exports of sensitive technologies to Russia.
