The US has shown serious interest in diplomacy, Iran claims after talks

Iran sees the recent nuclear talks with the US as a test of Washington's real intentions and suggests that the diplomatic process could continue.

According to a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, the meeting in Muscat, Oman, was not long, but it served its purpose—it allowed both sides to verify the seriousness of their approach and the framework for further steps.

The talks took place at a sensitive moment, shortly after President Donald Trump decided to move the US naval fleet to the region, raising fears of a possible military escalation.

However, Tehran claims that the talks resulted in a sense of understanding and consensus on continuing diplomacy.

Iran also warned that the United States should act independently of pressure from Israel in its future decisions.
