The European Commission will strengthen drone detection and tighten registration requirements

The European Commission wants to improve Europe's ability to detect drones and plans to propose extending registration requirements. It announced this in a new action plan published on Wednesday.

The plan envisages strengthening testing capacities for anti-drone systems. The Commission also proposes the creation of an "EU Trusted Drone" label to help identify safe equipment.

The proposals also include a call for countries interested in joining forces in the public procurement of anti-drone systems.
