Zelensky: If the US wants to end the war by summer, it must put pressure on Russia

Volodymyr Zelensky stated that if the United States wants to end the war by summer, it must exert greater pressure on Russia. He added that it is unclear whether Moscow will participate in next week's US-mediated peace talks.

Zelensky said that Ukraine is ready to participate in the meeting, which follows two rounds of trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi over the past month. However, these talks did not bring about a breakthrough.

"It does not depend only on Ukraine, but also on America, which must exert pressure—I apologize for saying this, but there is no other way—it must exert pressure on Russia," he said in connection with a possible peace agreement by the summer.

The Kremlin said on Tuesday that the date for the next round of peace talks had not yet been set, but added that the talks were likely to take place soon.

Three sources familiar with the situation told Reuters that US officials had proposed a trilateral meeting on Monday and Tuesday in Miami. The White House declined to comment on when the next round of talks would take place.
