Trump criticizes London for cooperating with California

US President Donald Trump has sharply criticized the clean energy agreement between the United Kingdom and California Governor Gavin Newsom, calling it "inappropriate."

According to him, Britain should not enter into such agreements with the representative of one of the US states, especially a Democrat who is one of his vocal critics. He called Newsom a "loser" and his environmental policy a disaster.

The agreement, signed by Newsom and British Energy Minister Ed Miliband, concerns cooperation in the field of clean energy, including the development of offshore wind farms, and is intended to open up the Californian market to British companies.

The dispute is taking place against the backdrop of a broader conflict over the direction of US energy policy. Trump also supports expanding oil and gas drilling off the California coast, which the governor and environmental organizations oppose.
