The political part of the negotiations on the war in Ukraine has ended in Geneva

The political part of the trilateral talks between the US, Russia, and Ukraine ended on Tuesday evening, but military representatives were still locked in discussions at the hotel, according to a source familiar with the situation.

According to four sources familiar with the situation, delegations from several European countries were present in Geneva but did not participate directly in the talks.

The Europeans were invited after Zelensky asked US officials to include them in the process, one of the sources said. The Americans and Ukrainians will keep them informed about the progress of the talks. Russia has previously expressed its disagreement with Europe's involvement in this process.

US President Donald Trump urged Kyiv to act quickly and reach an agreement. Statements from the parties are expected on February 18 after the talks end.
