Zelensky: Two thousand Ukrainian children have been returned from Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on social media that the BringKidsBackUA initiative has succeeded in returning 2,000 Ukrainian children who were under Russian control to their homes.
He described this as a significant achievement and thanked everyone who had been involved in the repatriations, from state institutions and civil society organizations to international partners.
According to Zelensky, this is a daily struggle for the future of Ukrainian children and the entire country. At the same time, however, he pointed out that thousands of other children remain detained by Russia and face the consequences of war.
He said the road to their return will be long and difficult, but Kyiv will not slacken in its efforts. The president emphasized that Ukraine will not stop until every single child returns home.
